Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI)
Both severe and mild head trauma can cause what is called traumatic brain injury or post concussion syndrome. A blow to the head in any setting, be it in a car accident, a fall or a construction accident can either resolve within a few days or have lifelong consequences.
We take great pride in our ability to serve people who suffer head injuries. When we interview you we always ask about head injuries and any symptoms associated with it. Common symptoms are nausea, vomiting, headaches, altered mental status, loss of consciousness, bruising, memory and personality change. Interestingly, clients who suffer traumatic brain injuries may not notice their symptoms. Therefore, we inquire whether your spouse, significant other, family or people at work have noticed whether you are having problems with memory recall or concentration.
A post-concussion syndrome injury can seriously impact an individual's life. Managing day to day tasks and maintaining relationships with cognitive problems is a challenge to the person who suffers the injury as well as to their family. Emotional problems and misdirected anger can be painful to all involved.
We have seen, firsthand what clients and loved ones go through while recovering from and dealing with head injuries. We offer support and guidance to help them through these difficult times by providing them with many resources such as doctors, psychologists, neuropsychologists, head injury organizations and support groups.
We can handle your case on a “contingency fee” basis, which means that you do not pay a legal fee unless we obtain a settlement or a jury verdict.
